Hai! This is my introduction to our journey along with startups in India for the decade from 2020 to 2030.
Many, who will read my posts and then view my profile, will be wondering why I am writing about startup ecosystem in India, a totally disconnect with my core subject, tax administration.
The main reason is that I think startups are the best medium available to make India a truly democratic country by making all Indians equal in access to information, affordable and quality education, knowledge, affordable healthcare, quality and affordable goods and services, competition, economic opportunities, financial security and freedom.
Another connected reason is that I want my son to be a future employer in our country, rather than an employee or searching for greener offshore.
Thirdly, my varied experience in Indian tax administration, combined with my hobby of monitoring of Indian economy since 1993 and of technology since 2003, will help me in disseminating technology and ideas for continuous promotion and development of Indian startup ecosystem.
Daily I remember about what is written on the main building of IIT, Kharagpur (My alma mater) - "Dedicated to the service of the nation".
